Dimitra, a vibrant woman born and raised in Northern Greece, now resides in the charming city of Thessaloniki. 

Having grown up immersed in the rich culinary heritage of her family, she learned the art of cooking and she developed a deep appreciation for traditional recipes and organic ingredients. 

With a twinkle in her eye and a warm smile that welcomes all who cross her threshold, Dimitra embodies the essence of Greek hospitality. As a result, she decided to open her home to visitors eager to explore the secrets of Greek cooking firsthand.


The Menu



Skin On Roast Potatoes
Organically grown potatoes baked in the oven with salt and extra virgin olive oil.



Cabbage Salad with Yoghurt Dressing
A colorful Mediterranean recipe along with green apple and walnuts.



Combination of Beef, Pork, and Chicken in Clay Pot
Clay pot cooking is employed for the preparation of this traditional dish, accompanied by a sauce made with wine and feta cheese.



Semolina Halva
One of the three main versions of halva, this local delicacy is spiced with cinnamon, as well as orange peel.



Local Wine Variety
Northern Greece is rich in a vine variety called “black and sour” which gives great red wines with a deep color and light fruity flavors.



Dimitra’s home is located in the residential district of Ampelokipi, a suburb near the center of Thessaloniki. 

It is a lively area, known for its market and its numerous stores and coffee shops. The place is easily accessible by taxi, your own vehicle, or bus and is also close to the train station and the intercity bus terminal.

  • If the minimum number of participants is not completed up to 48 hours before a scheduled event, then the event may not take place and its bookings may not be able to be approved.

  • If a participant cancels their booking up to 48 hours before a scheduled event, they are entitled to receive a full refund. A later cancellation will not be refundable.
